Rio OCean CLUB
Creating ocean experiences since 2013.
ROC’s story began with outrigger canoeing (Hawaiian canoe), a discipline rooted in a deep connection with the ocean and the ability to read wind, currents and waves.
Over the years, this hands-on experience naturally evolved into sailing, with the construction of ROC’s own sailing canoe marking a turning point that shaped what ROC Sail is today.
Today, ROC Sail offers sailing experiences in Guanabara Bay and along the Rio coastline, for travelers seeking more than a boat tour: quality time on the water, a true connection with the ocean, and the privilege of sailing through one of the world’s most iconic landscapes, away from the crowds.
ROC Sail is a Franco-Brazilian project, born from a shared passion for the ocean and shaped by years of experience at sea.

We are Theo and Louise, two ocean lovers.
Theo, Brazilian, is a sailor, paddler and diver. He founded ROC in 2013 and has guided thousands of people through canoe expeditions and sailing experiences.
By designing and building his own sailing canoe, he deepened his practice and fully transitioned into sailing. He later worked as a professional skipper and today captains ROC Sail.
Louise, French, is a diver and deckhand. She fell in love with Rio in 2017 and made it her home.
A journalist and videographer, she has worked as a correspondent in Brazil, telling stories connected to the ocean, nature and those who protect it.
On board, she welcomes guests and shares Rio from the perspective she loves most, the sea, while continuing to build her sailing experience.
